Mullins Music Policies and Procedures

Lesson Rates and Payment Procedures
Our studio operates on three terms throughout the year:  Spring Term (Jan - Apr), Summer Term (May - Aug) and Fall Term (Sept - Dec).  Students may begin at anytime, but billing is based on the number of lessons in any given term.

Private lessons are $32 for 30 minutes or $55 for 60 minutes.  We strongly recommend everyone start with 30 minute lessons before advancing to a more intense, one hour session.

To become fully enrolled, payment is due in advance for lessons by way of two payment options:

1) Full payment for the desired number of lessons in the term. (This option includes a 5% discount for paying in full)

OR

2) A regular monthly payment that stays the same each month of the term.  This option is calculated by multiplying the lesson rate and the number of desired lessons in the term, then divided by the total number of months in the term.

Monthly payments require accounts to be setup with Autopay.  Full term payments can be made with cash, check, or credit card.

There is a 3% fee automatically applied to all credit card transactions.

Registration
Tuition must be paid before a student begins a lesson, class or ensemble. Students are not considered registered until payment has been made. Tuition is charged for the full semester or term; however, payment plans are available.

Withdrawals from Classes and Ensembles
A 100% refund will be given for Classes or Ensembles if written (or email) notice is received within two business days following the first class. A 75% refund will be given if written notice is received within two business days following the second class.

Withdrawals from Private Lessons
Before the 4th lesson of the semester or term: Students must provide written (or email) notice of withdrawal and refund requests in order to receive a refund for the remaining paid lessons. Verbal notices or requests will not be accepted.

After the 4th lesson of the semester or term: Students must provide written (or email) notice of withdrawal and refund requests, and are responsible for payment of four lessons after the date of the withdrawal notice. The remaining paid lessons will be refunded. Verbal notices or requests will not be accepted.

Absences
Regular attendance is a critical part of the learning process at Mullins Music. Please make every effort to attend your scheduled lesson time. If you cannot attend a lesson for any reason, please notify Mullins Music as far in advance as possible by calling 727.841.4704. Prior notification does not exempt students from payment. Students are charged for all the lessons for which they register, including those missed through student absence. If a teacher is absent, the lesson will be made up at a mutually convenient time before the end of the semester or term. If the teacher is unable to make up the lesson, the student's account will be credited.

Make Up Lessons
A total of 2 makeup lessons are allowed per semester or term. Makeups must be scheduled during the semester or term in which they occur; make-up credit may not be carried into the following semester or term. If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, please make sure to provide 24 hours notice to receive credit for the lesson. Families are expected to pay for the entire semester or term in which they are enrolled.

Late Payments
Payments for lessons, classes, or ensembles carry an automatic $15 late charge after the 10th of each month if not paid in full.

Media Release
Unless Mullins Music is given advance written notice to the contrary, students give consent for Mullins Music to take photos, audio or video footage of classes, lessons, ensembles and or/concerts without advance notice and to publish such photos, audio and video footage royalty-free in its print, audio and electronic promotional efforts, including its website. This consent also authorizes release from any expectation of confidentiality for minor children if a parent or legal guardian.

Cell Phones
Parents and students who use cellular phones are asked to turn them off during classes or lessons unless they are waiting for an emergency call.
